Martin Jacobson helped destitute

Many winners of poker tournaments don't grudge their winnings for charity. The representatives of many world funds appreciate it and always treat the best world poker players kindly. Martine Jacobson – the winner of the Main Event of World poker of 2014 was not an exception. He made a donation of 500 thousand to charity for a non-profit Raise for Effective Giving organization from his prize of 10 million dollars. Such gurus of modern poker as Igor Kurganov, Philipp Gruissem and Liv Boeree are its founders. By the way, the administration of charity fund suggests all winners of poker tournaments to donate 2 percent from their prize sum to needy people all over the world. The cooperation agreement with the charitable organization provides a guarantee that money will be sent to the most effective forms of charity and reach the purposes.

Generous Jacobson decided that 2% of a winning is too small contribution to the charity and transferred 5% to the fund. As he said such sum wasn't essential for him but could help a lot of people in the world. The noble deed proved the high human and moral qualities of Martin Jacobson confirming his concern about the world.
