The promise of Preston wasn't fated to come true

The poker player Amarillo Preston, famous with Slim nickname once rashly told he would be ready to slit his throat if a woman would win the party of this card game. After that such event happened more than one time, however Preston didn't realize his promise. At all the calls to keep his promise he answered he had been just misunderstood.

Actually, Preston is right. During one game, he got into a dispute with a woman who also took part in the draw.  She was so impudent and self-confident person convincing everyone she would win that championship for sure. As a response Amarillo told he would cut his throat in such case. Despite all woman’s efforts she didn't manage to win. As a result Amarillo "Slim" Preston survived but had to explain for many years that his words were misinterpreted.

After a while Preston became the greatest organizer of poker competitions around the world. Once he dealt with the drug lord Pablo Escobar who suspected Amarillo of espionage. The facts proving that were not found, so Preston was safely let to go.
